Canteen Caper is a puzzle-adventure game inspired by OneShot and the Riddle School games, focusing on exploration and item collection. Players will take on the role of a young student named Wesley, who has forgotten to bring lunch money with him to school, and so he goes on a mission to explore the school in search of ways to get enough money to buy the cookie he wants.

Around the schoolgrounds, players will be able to find items to pick up, which they can then try to combine to create new items which can be used to complete tasks. However, you won't be able to wander the schoolgrounds willy-nilly, as there are security cameras placed around the building which you must sneak past. If you get seen too much by the cameras, you'll raise the suspicions of the school staff and receive a game over, so keep your caper on the down-low!

This game was made as my final year project for my Computer Games Design course. The purpose of the project was to create a vertical slice for a game concept of my choice, to help me hone my skills with using Unreal Engine 5. In the future, I may consider expanding this game into a polished full release.
